My family is American and Irish, so I have been lucky to learn about and play loads of different sports from all around the world. Hi, The Beast and D-Boss,
You have such an interesting web page I am beginning to read the sports pages in our local papers just to keep up with what’s happening.
I also watch some soccer on t.v. now, but it’s too early for me to have a favorite team. But give me time. Your activities motivate me to
become educated in sports. Here in the U. S. A., living near Chicago we are excited about the Chicago Cubs baseball team and its long
winning streak. Of course, this may end if the Beast and his San Francisco team throw a monkey wrench at the Cubs.
And D-Bears (maybe a relative of D-Boss?) are showing signs of having a good season in American football. Time will tell. Enjoyed watching

Hi Toby! I’m an old friend of your mom’s (I mean, we’re not old at all–just our friendship is!) and have been meaning to write to you, because I live in San Francisco, and share your Giants enthusiasm! I’m even getting somewhat into the Golden State Warriors now–I guess it’s easy to do that when the team is doing so well, right? But that’s how I got interested in the SF Giants in 2010 and it stuck, even through the ‘bad’ even-numbered years. But we’re feeling good about the new lineup for 2015, how about you?
